Education
Youth & Substance Abuse Prevention
Protecting youth from early exposure to drugs and alcohol is a central pillar of our work. We’ll highlight local prevention strategies, support youth-serving organizations, and help shape policies to keep kids safe and healthy.
The “Dads on Duty” initiative involves male community members partnering with local schools to offer mentorship, guidance, and a positive presence for young students. This ongoing effort brings mature, committed men into classrooms and school hallways, helping to reinforce strong role modeling.
Public Service
Civic Engagement & Leadership Pathways
We believe deeply in community leadership. That’s why North County Rising:
- Provides support to prospective officeholders who meet our civic values and commitment
- Encourages local residents to consider running for local public office
- Screens, advises, and supports aspiring candidates
